SDGs Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities “The Welcoming Playground“

あるにぎやかな街では、すべてのこどもたちが遊び場で遊べるわけではありませんでした。

In a busy city, not all kids could play at the playground.

体が不自由で、遊具を使えないこどもたちもいました。ベンはその手助けをしたかったのです。

Some kids had disabilities and couldn’t use the equipment. Ben wanted to help.

ベンはいろいろな物を作るのが大好きでした。ベンは「みんなが楽しめる遊び場を作ろう」と考えたのです。

Ben loved building things. He thought, “Let’s make the playground fun for everyone.”

ベンはともだちや両親に自分が考えたことを話しました。

He told his friends and parents.

そして「だれでも歓迎される遊び場計画」をスタートしたのです。

They started the Welcoming Playground Project.

みんなは新しいブランコ、滑り台、スロープを設計して、ベンの両親は材料を集めました。

They designed new swings, slides, and ramps. Ben’s parents got the materials.

ベンとともだちは毎週末に働きました。

Ben and his friends worked every weekend.

新しい遊具を作り、遊び場を安全にしました。

They built new equipment and made the playground safe.

遊び場には車椅子用のブランコとスロープ付きの滑り台ができました。

Now, the playground had swings for wheelchairs and slides with ramps.

体が不自由なこどもたちも遊びに来ました。新しい友達もできました。みんなが遊び場を楽しみました。

Kids with disabilities came to play. They made new friends. Everyone enjoyed the playground.

親たちはこどもたちが楽しんでいるのを見て喜びました。

Parents were happy to see their kids having fun.

遊び場はみんなの場所になりました。

The playground became a place for everyone.

ベンは誇らしく思いました。ベンはこどもたちみんなが一緒に遊べる場所を作ったのですから。

Ben was proud. He made a place for all kids to play together.
