ある小さな村があった。こどもたちは読み書きができなかった。
ある日、年老いた旅人がこどもたちが読み書きができず苦労しているのを見た。

In a small village, children couldn't read or write.
One day, an old traveler saw them struggling.

彼は大きな木の下で物語を語り始め、文字や数字を教えた。

He started telling stories under a big tree, teaching them letters and numbers.

子どもたちは大喜びで、すぐに覚えた。

The children were excited and learned quickly.

やがて他の村人たちも加わり、本や計算道具を持ってきた。
村中が一緒に学び始めた。

Soon, the villagers joined in, bringing books and tools to calculate.
The whole village started learning together.

時が経つにつれて、子供たちは好奇心が強くなり、学んだことを分かち合うようになった。
