“Emma’s Garden”
お腹を空かせている人たちがいる村に、エマは住んでいました。
Emma lived in a village where some people were hungry.
「みんなのために庭を作ろう！」とエマは思いつきました。
She had an idea: “Let’s make a garden for everyone!”
エマと仲間たちは日当たりのいい場所を見つけ、たくさんの野菜を植えました。
Emma and her friends found a sunny spot and planted many vegetables.
みんなはその菜園でいっしょに働きました。
Everyone worked together in the garden.
みんなは苗に水をやり、世話をしました。
They watered the plants and cared for them.
やがてたくさんの食べ物ができたのです！
Soon, there was lots of food!
みんなは野菜や果物を収穫しました。
They picked the vegetables and fruits.
「必要なものを取って行ってね」とエマは村のみんなに言いました。
“Take what you need,” Emma told everyone.
村の人たちは喜んで野菜や果物を持って帰りました。
People took food home and were very happy.
エマのおかげで、村の人たちはみんな十分な食べ物を手に入れることができたのです。
Thanks to Emma, everyone in the village had enough to eat.
